The Ranch Podcast App Privacy Policy

The Ranch Podcast, produced with support from the Truth in Media Foundation, respects your privacy. This policy explains how The Ranch Podcast iPhone and iPad app handles information.
Information Handled by the App
The app does not require an account. Saved episodes, downloaded episodes, playback position, playback preferences, and notification schedule preferences are stored locally on your device.
If you enable push notifications, the app sends a device registration token and your selected notification schedule to The Ranch Podcast’s notification delivery service. Technical information such as the app version, platform, and app identifier may also be included. This information is used only to provide the notifications you request. It is not used for advertising or tracking across apps or websites.
If you contact us through Matt Chat or an email link, your message is sent through your chosen email service. The app does not independently store or transmit the contents of that email.
Third-Party Content and Services
The app retrieves podcast information and audio from The Ranch Podcast’s Buzzsprout feed and video information from YouTube.
Notification delivery is supported by Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging. These services process technical information required to deliver notifications.
Opening an external website, YouTube, Buzzsprout, or your email application is subject to that service’s privacy policy.
Sharing and Sale of Information
We do not sell personal information. We do not use app information for targeted advertising, and we do not track users across apps or websites.
Service providers may process device registration information only as necessary to provide requested app functionality, including notification delivery.
Retention and Your Choices
You may disable notifications within the app or through your device’s Settings application.
You may remove downloaded and saved episodes within the app. Deleting the app removes information stored locally on your device.
Notification registration information is retained only while needed to provide the notification service. You may contact us to request deletion of a notification registration associated with your device.
Children’s Privacy
The app is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app or its services change. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this policy will be updated.
